Browning is casued by:
- Over wetting, which causes the carpet backing to bleed and the carpet backing dye to raise up the carpet fibre during the drying process
- High Alkaline residues
- Non vacuuming of deep soiled particles prior to extraction cleaning, which can rise to the surface during the drying process
